Vinny Rauso

Vinny Rauso is set to begin his 2nd season on the Seton Hill University (SHU) staff as a graduate assistant coach for the 2024-25 year. In his role, Rauso works closely with the Griffin catchers and hitters, and he will also oversee much of the program’s strength and conditioning/

Rauso completed an outstanding playing career in 2023, earning accolades such as PSAC West 1st Team selection, ABCA 2nd Team All-Region choice, and the PSAC Tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

After spending one full season at Alderson Broaddus and experiencing a shortened 2020 season, Rauso transferred to Seton Hill. He made an immediate impact, playing in 39 games in 2021, hitting .330 with 26 RBIs, and helping lead SHU to the Division II World Series in his first season on the Hill. Throughout his career, Rauso posted a .356 batting average, with 31 doubles, 9 home runs, and 103 RBIs. He walked 89 times compared to just 56 strikeouts and stole 45 bases. Defensively, he boasted a .991 fielding percentage during his three seasons with the Griffins.
